Privacy Policy

This policy explains how BDS Bookkeeping ("we", "us") collects, uses and protects personal information through bdsbookkeeping.co.nz. We follow the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

Information we collect

• Training enquiries: the details you enter in our enquiry form. That is your name, email address, phone number (optional), business name, country, training interest and message.
• Website usage: we use Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, such as pages viewed, device and browser type and approximate location. This uses cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
• Security records: our web server keeps standard technical logs, including IP addresses, to protect the website.

We collect this information directly from you. You do not have to provide it, but we cannot reply to an enquiry without your contact details.

How we use it

We use your information to respond to your enquiry, to discuss MYOB and bookkeeping training with you, to keep the website secure and to improve it. We do not sell your personal information. We will not add you to a mailing list unless you ask us to.

Who we share it with

We share information only with service providers that help us run this website:

• Our website hosting provider, which stores the website.
• Microsoft 365, which provides our email.
• Google, which provides Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager.
• Creative Dot Solutions, our website developer, which maintains the site and receives a technical copy of enquiry-form messages to check that the form is working.

Some of these providers may store information outside New Zealand. Where they do, we take reasonable steps to make sure your information is protected to a standard comparable with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

Storage & security

This website uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. We keep enquiry information only for as long as we need it to respond to you and for our normal business records.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it. Email contact@bdsbookkeeping.co.nz. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.

Training Terms

Our online MYOB and bookkeeping training is in production and enrolments are not open yet. The full training terms, including fees, access period, use of training videos and cancellations, will be published on this page before enrolments open. Nothing in our terms will limit your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986.

BDS Bookkeeping provides independent training and is not affiliated with or endorsed by MYOB.
